Kathryn was how my grandmother spelled it, so the spelling is pretty set in stone. She went by Kate, which I love, but is it too harsh sounding with the last name? Kate Colley. I was thinking of maybe calling her Katie Beth when she’s little.

I named my daughter Kathryn Elizabeth 21 yrs ago and I still love the name. It is a classic and just as beautiful today as it was back then.

Kathryn Elizabeth is a beautiful name. I wouldn’t change anything about it. Kate Colley is also something I like; I have a friend named Katie Connolly, which is almost the same, and no one thinks anything bad of it. I also think that Katie Beth is cute, and something you should call her even when she’s grown up, but not the majority of the time. Just special times, something you can share. I have that with my grandmother and it’s really nice.
