Just posted a poll about the name Indie. We don`t like the name India but we do like Indira (In-deer-a). We weren`t sure what other people would say about the name. Indie is for sure. Our question is should we go with Indira and she can go by Indie or just simply use Indie? Her brother is Dallin Matthew Porter. Thanks.

I like just Indie. Its beautiful and different but not hard to say or spell. Everyone will say Indira wrong and spell it wrong. Honestly I think it’s weird. And why name your kid something just to call them something else. My mom did that to me and I hated it. Indie is lovely!

Indira is very nice and it is not heard very often in the US (if that is where you are from).
Also she would have an outstanding namesake, Indira Gandhi who was India’s first Prime Minister and is the world’s longest serving female PM.
