I like Genevieve Nevaeh. I also like Neviere (pron. Nev-air), which is Armienian. What do you think?

Wow, they’re all terrible!!! They’ll be mispronounced like crazy, try pronouncing Genevieve the American way if you live in America and the French way if you live in France, your child will thank you...

Genevieve Joie is lovely.... I should know, I recommended it to your last night. Ignore these other people. If the hubby likes it and you like it, then go for. Lovely French Spelling for a lovely French name. GL!

Even though i normally dislike alliterated sounds, I’m liking Genevieve Joie..there’s something spunky about it that I love! Pronounce it whichever way you please. Not having an ounce of Italian blood doesn’t stop a lot people from using traditional Italian names for their kids. Just the same, not living in France should not put the French pronunciation of a French name in the off-limits category for you. Of course she’ll have to correct pronunciation frequently, but it’s not difficult to deal with (take it from someone with a relatively unique/uncommon name), and the name isn’t difficult anyway, especially since it’s a legitimate well-known pronunciation; So go for it!
