Alaina Mae vs. Lainey Mae vs. Laney Mae

What do you think of the name Lainey as a only name (my husband is really wanting this!) I just don’t like it alone. I want to name her Alaina and call her Lainey. He thinks it’s to close to our daughter Aliyah whom we call ’Leah’. I think Leah and Lainey is adorable! Any mn suggestions or ways to spell Lainey in case I can’t sway him!!!!! THANKS BUNCHES!!!

I do think that Aliyah and Alaina are too close for sisters. If you think Lainey is better as a nickname, you could name your daughter Delaney and call her Laney or Lainey.

I think Alaina & Aliyah are a cute sib set. Their names don’t rhyme, and the only way they’re similar is that they start with the same letter. MANY parents do this. My cousins are Jeff, Jennifer, and Jeromy and I’ve thought that their names were too matchy.
