I personally don’t like it for either. I’m a teacher and seeing that name on my roster would just confuse me.

I am also a teacher, and I agree with the previous poster.

Rylan is all boy sounding to me.

I am kind of liking Rylan for a girl but i think that most people would assume it’s a boy. now, that may not be true in a couple more years but i think you are safe. I f i was naming a girl Rylan i would spell it differently like Rylin or Rilen or even Rilynn. I think it is a good boys name.

I have never heard of this name before... I would stick with something more timeless and less trendy, like Ryan. Even though Ryan is being used on girls too, it doesn’t seem as girly. Rylan sounde like Rye-lynn, like a girly version of the male name Riley... Rielynn is what I think when hearing it aloud.

I have never heard it either. But, just from the sound, I would assume it is for a boy.

Rylan is a boys name.It’s my brother’s name! We liked it cause it is more manly than Reilly (family name).

It is 89% male and 11% female.

It i Irish or English and has been around forever (not new and trendy even tho it sounds it), and it has always been for a boy. It means Island Meadow. I love the name {Rylan Finn is cute too}

I personally think it’s unisexed and works great for a boy or a girl.

I’m a teacher (didn’t post earlier), but I would automatically think Rylan is a boys name because I grew up in Swansea, Wales, UK. This is, by enlarge, considered a boys name there, so that’s how I’ve always known it.
I think the problem any teacher would have with this name is that it doesn’t sound gender specific to people in this country. This has especially become a problem since the popularity craze of giving girls normal boy names or nicknames (examples: Riley, Payton, Jamie).

I think Rylan Cole is a wonderful name for a boy. I think Rylan is a more masculine sounding name. Go with your gut and good luck!
