Keep as Caleb vs. Keep as Coby nn for Jacob vs. Change to Keagan legally

Yes I’ve been on before BUT PLEASE help us. What is your favourite name for Kade’s younger brother, bearing in mind that Caleb is on the birth certificate and so is Jacob (we would call him Coby) and Keagan isn’t but we would get a deed poll (legal document) to legalise this name. We have battled over this for too long and I need to decide. Love Caleb since I was a little girl. Like Coby and think it’s cool and cute but Hubby doesn’t like it too much and we both like Keagan a lot which is what we called him for a week at 8 weeks old but didn’t go with it. What would you do? Thanks so much and this is the final one, promise!

If you’re having that much trouble, just put all three in a bowl, and draw one. You’re not really gonna be happy completely with any of them, as it sounds like you like them all equally.

Just keep his name as is....he is already born...

I would save the hassle and keep Caleb. You’ve liked it since you were little so I think you’ll always have that in your mind.

(Poster here) to make things more complicated, we have called him Caleb, then Jacob and then Keagan. We’ve probably called him Keagan the most but I feel bad that it’s not on his birth certificate and that I’m not using Caleb just because his brother’s name is Kade (very close)

I do not think that Kade and Caleb are to close. If you can both agree on it, and it is already his name I would stick with it. If you both prefer Keagan and call him that more often then go with that. What does his brother call him? As I am sure you know you should make a choice ASAP before it starts getting confusing for your baby and your other son. Good luck!
