too vs. different?
My husband is Irish, and I am Italian. We have a daughter named Saoirse Noemi. My husband’s family and all our friends in the US call her Saoirse, but my family calls her Noemi. We are now pregnant with a little boy, and we like Enzo Darragh and Matteo Cathal. But I think that Saoirse and Enzo or Saoirse and Matteo are too different for siblings. What do you think? Thank you! ~Maria

It really doesn’t matter. The vast majority of their lives they will be considered individually, not in terms of their siblings.

I am of the opinion that siblings should have names that are at least the same general style. Sairse and Enzo/Matteo are very different, but since they are Irish and Italian, I think it’s okay.
I love Enzo and Matteo (I prefer Mateo, but it’s not Italian), but I’m not fond of the middle names. Darragh is too close to the English girls’ name Dara (this wouldn’t be a problem if he isn’t growing up in the US), and Cathal has always reminded me of ’cattle’.
Perhaps:
Enzo Ruairi
Enzo Dillon
Enzo Niall
Enzo Lorcan
Enzo Padraig
Matteo Breandan
Matteo Cillian
Matteo Cormac
Matteo Eoghan
Matteo Fionn
Milo Aedan/Aodhan
Milo Eamon
Milo Ronan
Milo Seamus
Milo Lochlan
