Yeah I am...I was worried that Emma was a little too plain that’s why I thought about jazzing it up a bit. What do you think?

Emmalyn sounds made-up, Emmaline sounds nice.

Emma is a nice name. Those jazzed up versions always look tacky to me -- you’re heading toward Ashleigh and McKayla territory there.

The way it was usually spelled back when it was popular around 1900 was Emeline.

I don’t like the way both names end in "ine" even if they aren’t pronounced the same way. It’s visually weird even if it sounds okay. I’d either go for Emma Christine or Emeline something-else. Emeline Rosemary. Rosemary Emeline Brunelle -- yowza, I’d love that.

I think Emaline Christine sounds great, who cares if it LOOKS like it WOULD sound weird but it doesn’t...Christine is a family name, I say go with that and Emaline is an awesome name! It reminds me of this cute character in the second Anne of Green Gables movie

Why choose something that looks like it will sound weird (even if it doesn’t) when you don’t have to? If you had to choose between a piece of chocolate cake that looked and tasted like chocolate cake and piece that tasted like chocolate cake but looked like a doggie-poo, which would you prefer?

I think Emma is sophisticated and cute all at once, and doesn’t need to be jazzed up at all! I still say Emma Christine is a simple, yet beautiful name. If it doesn’t sound right to you, though, then maybe you need to find a different name? I know that finding that one perfect name is the hardest!! Good luck!

Emma Christine is so much nicer than all those other tarted-up versions. You don’t need to put a eyelet edging on everything in the house.
