Ellie Marina vs. Corey Elise vs. Haleigh Shea
Hey ya’ll! My name’s Lindsey and I’m preggers for the first time. Any advice?
The Top Baby Name is...
Ella or Elle instead of Ellie (I hate nns as first names)
Corey is more suited for a boy, IMO. I’ve known people of both sexes named this, but the girl spelled her name Cori.
Haleigh (pr: Hah - lee) is NMS. Not a fan of all the Haley/Haileys out there.
If you like Haley, I would spell it that way. I always feel like the "eigh" is just a way to add useless letters. Ellie is adorable, but should be a nickname for a more formal first name. Maybe Ella Shea, and then nickname her Ellie?? Or you could use a longer name that ends in -elle like Danielle, Michelle, Gabrielle, Isabelle, Anabelle, etc.. and then nickname her Ellie. :o) That would be super cute! Good luck!
P.S. I like Corrie as a nickname for a girl, but not as a full name. I know a couple (both Marines) who are married, and both the wife and the husband are named Corey! I think that’s awful (yet funny)! So, I still stand by my suggestions above. :o)
Not Haleigh Shea. It’s just all this mishmash of vowels and H’s - it looks like how you’d write out the sound of someone coughing up something.
I agree w/ all four pps.
Ellie & Haleigh are both extremely popular, esp. Ellie. That’s being used a lot these days & it’s getting kind of old. Haleigh is extremely trendy and pretty overused. If you use this you’re in for a bunch of misspellings of your daughter’s name. I think Corrie is beautiful & different for a girl! I’ve never met a girl named this but I think it’s lovely. I def. say go for it!!!! :)
I’d name her Coral or Cora and call her Corrie.
I like Corey for a girl but spelled differently. Corrie, Kori, etc.
I like Cora nn Cori.
Corey is actually a cute name for a girl. I would actually name my little girl Corey before i name a boy corey. I would pick Corey.
