I have a very different naming style.. so I dislike most of these names. The only names that I do like are, Madeleine, Sadie and Nora. The rest of them I find too old and unattractive. Least favs would be Ethel, Elsie, Clara, Mabel and Matilda.

Faves- Hazel, Mabel, Madeleine & Sadie
Least- Matilda, Mary, Clara & Nora

Love Matilda and the nickname Tilly. I like that it’s classic, but still has a bit of an edge.
Love Mabel and the nickname Mae even more! It has a real vintage feel.
Elsie is cute, so is Sadie.
Clara is ok, but I prefer Cara.
Don’t like Hazel, I just don’t think it sounds very nice. Same for Della & Nora.
Mary, Ethel & Bethel are just too old-fashioned for me.
Nellie just reminds me of the elephant.
I like Madeleine, but I would pronounce it the French way with this spelling, but with the nickname Lainy, I assume you wouldn’t be.
My fave is Mabel, then Matilda. My least fave is Ethel. (Hope I helped and didn’t sound rude!)

We would like to know why you like or dislike a particular name. It will just make the culling process easier. Thank you for the feedback it is much appreciated!

Matilda nn Tilly- I like the name Matilda but not loving Tilly. How about Mattie?
Della nn Dell- That’s so funny because I saw this on another quiz earlier and before that I had never heard this name before! I just like Della. No Dell.
Hazel- This name is really pretty!
Mabel nn Mae- I like this name a lot but I’d just stick with Mabel.
Mary- Don’t do it, it’s really old fashioned.
Madeleine nn Lainy- Never heard Lainy for a nickname for this! I really like it!
Clara- A little old fashioned but still cute.
Elsie- Ditto
Sadie- I love this name so much! This is what I’m considering if I have a daughter someday!
Nora- Not a fav
Nellie (full or nn?)- I like Nellie and I think it would work as a full name!
Ethel- Really old and distastful

I LOVE Matilda (Tilly) It ages well and the nickname is cute for a little girl. Very pretty. I also like Madeleine (Lainy) and Della, Nora, and Sadie. Not such a huge fan of Bethel, it just automatically makes me think of a very old woman. The others are kind of "okay" names. Don’t love or hate them. I think Nellie works as a full name but if you like it better as a nickname, here are a few suggestions:
