go with what you love vs. find one with a better meaning

I have some names that I like but don’t have the greatest meanings. What would you do? Go with what you love or find something with a better meaning? It seems like I like all the ones with negative/odd meanings. Like I love Mallory (my fave) but it means "unlucky", Leah means "weary", Bethany means "house of figs", and Natalie means "Christmas" (which seems weird if my baby’s due in March!). Help! I just can’t get over liking these 4 names.

if the meaning bothers you move on to other names, I’ve rejected names for their meaning before, but I see nothing wrong with Natalie or Bethany

Of the names you’ve mentioned, I think only Mallory would bother me enough to discard it. The others are fine.

I really don’t think meanings are important, my son’s name means bald. I like all of the names you mentioned, I think Natalie is my favorite.

I don’t pay attention to the meanings. Some of the best names and most popular names have odd meanings so I would just go with the name you love. I like all of the names you posted even knowing the meanings. though if it really bothers you, some other names that are similar to these are...
