Personally, I don’t hold much to the meanings of names.

I like it spelled the original way, Gabriella. It looks incomplete with only one L. I know that in my family (we’re a big Italian family), we have a few Gabriella’s scattered about the gene-pool so I’m sure it has some Italian meaning.

The girl’s name Gabrielle \gab-rielle, gabri(el)-le\ is pronounced gab-ree-ELL. It is of Hebrew origin, and its meaning is "heroine of God". Feminine form of Gabriel. Gabriella is the Italian form.

Gabriella/ Gabriela i sthe feminine form of Gabriel.

Gabriella is Italian and Hungarian. It’s pronounced gah-bree-EL-ah.

Gabriela is Portuguese, Polish, Romanian, Spanish, German, Czech and Slovak. It’s pronounced gahp-RYE-lah.

Gabriel comes from the Hebrew name âÇáÀøÄéàÅì (Gavri’el) which meant "strong man of God". He is one of the seventh Archangels, and announces the birth of Jesus to Mary.

I am italian and my husband is not. He left the naming of my daughter up to me. He didn’t care which name i would choose. I chose Gabrielle. I love the name. I also like Gabriella. Now, i’m wondering if I made a mistake because my daughter does look italian and Gabriella is the italian version. I know my italian mother would have wanted it that way. Can’t go back and change it now.

I'm Spanish (born in the USA) and my sisters name is Gabriela, which I think is more of a Spanish version of the name while Gabriella is more of the Italian version
