Love it!!! For middle names, you have multiple options: Mattie, Tilly (which i like), Tilda, Attie (that’s a stretch, but I’m trying to give you more options, LOL).

Matilda is an adorable name. Whenever I hear that name it makes me think of the little girlt hat played Matilda in the movie based on the book by Roald Dahl. And she was a cutie!

I don’t know any Matilda’s. When I hear the name Matilda I think of Heath Ledger’s daughter or that movie about the little girl with powers. But that’s only because of pop culture.

I think it’s a cute name...unique, and girly, with the nickname Mattie.

I think it’s going to get very popular very fast, most likely because it is Heath Ledger’s daughter’s name. It wasn’t even in the top 1000 as of ’06 (the most current stats on the site I used), but based on the number of times it’s appeared on polls on this site, that’s about to change in a big way. That may or may not make a difference to you, but I just thought I’d throw it out there.

I love the name Matilda and I think it would age well, I can see it on a child, teen, adult, little old lady on the porch...it makes me think of one of my favorite childrens books!

Matilda is a lovely name. Some people will tell you that it’s old fashioned and ugly, but I think that’s part of the charm. It has a lot of personality. It’s a quirky, charming name, that works well on a child and an adult. Mattie (this fits in with all the Maddies) or Tilly are adorable nicknames for a little girl.

I love the name Matilda but my DH wouldn’t allow it for our baby. I would have called her Mattie for sure. Tillie would be cute, too.
