If I see Kerrigan, I think Nancy Kerrigan. But if you use Carrigan, I don’t have any strong association with another person. It just sounds distinguished and unique.

I agree with above poster but I don’t think kids will know who Nancy is or was anyways so I don’t think it matters. I prefer Kerry, Kari, or Carrie to Carrigan/Kerrigan but that is just my opinion.

I think Kerrigan is beautiful! It’s so different. I’ve never met ANYONE with a name like this. It’s on my top girl names as well. I LOVE IT! I would def. say go for it. And I seriosuly doubt anyone is going too associate your daughter with Nancy Kerrigan. Kerrigan is a beautiful and unique name! You should def. use it! GL!

I voted for Carrigan because of the Nancy Kerrigan association but actually, I like either. I think Carrigan/Kerrigan is a pretty and unique name, without being over the top.

It’s not my favorite name but it’s tolerable. It’s not one of those odd, ’out there’ names that nobody knows how to pronounce but it’s different. (As a teacher, I feel the need to say this...there’s nothing worse that incomprehensible names on an attendance sheet). Kerri would make a nice nick name.
