Harlie vs. to close to vs. Mandy

Is the name Harlie to close to the name Mandy? We are having a little girl and we just saw the name Harlie on another poll and we love it!! But there is a catch, we already have a daughter named Mandy, (not Amanda) are these names too close for sisters!! thanks for all your help in advance!!

I don’t think they are too close. But I don’t care too much for that name either. Harlie sounds like a nickname for Harlot.

Don’t like the name Harley, at all. It’s quite ugly, as well, especially the way you spelled it. Reminds me of motorcycles and a dog an old friend had (they named it Harley because they had motorcycles). Ugh.

The only similarity is the ending and ...whatever. Use it if you like it.

I don’t think they’re too close. But, I really don’t care for Harlie. If you want the same sound, you might go for Marlie/Marlee. Mandy and Marlie sound more similar, but I think they’re different enough it might work.

Absolutely not to matchy

but it doesn’t change the fact they don’t really mesh well together

we were considering Hailey, and we also like Hadley but we thought that it was too close to Mandy!! Thank you for all the responses, we truly appreciate it!!

Harlie is just....really BAD. No nice way to spin that, sorry. It’s bad.
