Name for baby boy vs. With middle name Gray? vs. Please Help

My twin sister and I are pregnant at the same time - I’m having a boy and she’s having a girl. Since our mother gave us "theme" names, my sister thinks it would be really cute to give our babies twin-ish names. When we announced we’re naming our son Ethan Gray, a few days later they decided to name their daughter Emma Grace. We know they aren’t exactly matchy, but they are too close for us. We asked her to consider changing her name, but she won’t. So we are going to change our son’s name. I can’t let go of Gray though - I just love it too much. Can you please suggest some names that sound nice with Gray? Last name is Mortimer. Thanks - Holly and Rick

I’m not sure I get it. Didn’t you want the names to be similar? Aside from starting with the same letter, Ethan and Emma are nothing alike, and they are pretty cute together.

I like Gray a lot and find it really rude that your sister would decide to give the children "matchy" names when that’s not what you want.

I would prefer that it didn’t start with E, unless we change Gray. Yes we would consider Gray as a first name, we just weren’t sure how it sounded with our last name. Thank you!

I do love Christian Gray. But I’m worried it’s a little 50 Shades.

Were there other names on your list before you decided on Ethan? That would help determine style since, to me, Gray and Ethan aren’t really similar.

I don’t think I’d use Gray Mortimer, it’s a bit... bleak.

I think Ethan Gray is beautiful and you should keep it as its not like it rhymes with Emma or anything. But if you really want to change it, Adam Gray (as another poster suggested is nice)

LOGAN GRAY! that's hubbys name 😊 i love it. for our son we're also keeping Gray as it was his fathers middle name too, however i don't want a Jr so not sure on the first name yet 😬 i think i liken Asher Gray but idk yet. everyone keeps saying when you hear it you'll know! i loveeeee wesley gray but hubby already said no no to that 🙄
