Twins vs. Jasper & Coral vs. Jade & Ruby

Hi everyone. My name is Maisie and i’m having twin girls. I love these twin Combo’s Jade & Ruby or Jasper & Coral! Please don’t make comments about Jasper being a "boy’s name" it’s unisex, it’s an ornamental stone that can be worn as Jewellery which makes it seem MORE feminine to me. Jade & Ruby would probably just be called Jade & Ruby or whatever nn comes at them once they’re here. Coral & Jasper will be nn Cora & Jazz. They got an even 12 votes each earlier and I need help, coming up to due date soon and I have no set name. What middlenames would you use for both sets? Help please!

Never have I ever heard of the name Jasper being unisex. The name is rather old and has been popular on men for centuries so just because it sounds feminine to you is no reason to stick your baby girl with a boy’s name. That being said, Jade and Ruby are absolutely stunning!

Just because Jasper sounds feminine to you, doesn’t make it unisex. It is very definitely a boys name. I hate it on boys, but on a girl it would be awful. Jasper is a dogs name. I like Jade and Ruby (if I’m allowed to, I’d suggest Ruby & Coral - love Coral)

Jade Elizabeth & Ruby Alice
Jade Natalia & Ruby Erin
Jade Amelia & Ruby Olivia
Jade Miranda & Ruby Sophia
Jade Katerina & Ruby Serafina

It’s unisex because it’s a A SEMI PRECIOUS STONE how is that masculine? Would you call your son Ruby or Coral? Or Pearl, Diamond, Sapphire? What about Emerald or Jade? NO all GIRLS names, since Jasper is also a semi precious stone exactly like these others why the hell can’t she use it for her daughter?! You people are so RUDE!!! Jasper means TREASURE, a girl can’t be a treasure. Yes it was considered a man’s name centuries ago. THINGS CHANGE. Women weren’t allowed to work or vote once and if you were black you were considered part of the fauna & flora during Cenus. THANK GOD times are changing, catch up and stop being a negative, narrow minded BIGOT. Love Jasper and Coral Maisie they are both BEAUTIFUL!

Sorry that should be "a girl can’t be a treasure?". The full stop is a typo should be question mark, sorry!

^Your theory is ridiculous. Yes, Jasper was used for boys centuries ago, but it’s also used now on boys. Just because it’s a semi precious stone, doesn’t make it feminine.

You’ve got some nerve to call other people rude, haven’t you Poster 3? Women’s voting rights changing is a little bit different from a name becoming unisex (WHICH JASPER HAS NOT - look here:http://www.babynames.com/name/JASPER

and here: http://www.behindthename.com/name/jasper)

If Jasper is a ’unisex’ name solely because it’s a semi-precious stone, then does that mean that Ruby, and Sapphire, and Emerald are also unisex names? No, thought not.

Also, Jasper means TreasurER, not Treasure.

If you’re saying that the meaning of Jasper makes it feminine, poster #3, then what about these: Achillis, Apollo, Jamal/Jamaal, and Zain all mean beauty. Should they be unisex? And what about Beaufort, Beaumont, Ervin/Erving, Kane: all of these have beautiful in their meaning. And Jared actually has a meaning of Rose, a flower. There are many meanings for names. This shouldn’t be a reason for it to just become okay for the opposite gender. If this were the case, Addison, Gwen, Madison, Mackenzie, Mckenna and Paris (all meaning "son of.."), would never be used for girls.

So for the fact that Jasper doesn’t even sound feminine, and Jade does, I am going witpth Jade and Coral.

It is a boys name, not unisex. Ruby is a jewel so you would consider that unisex too?
