Help vs. !!
Hello, I’m Taylor and I’m pregnant with my first child, a girl. My fiancé and I haven’t really gotten round to thinking about names until now, and we’ve decided to name our child after my fiancé’s late grandmother, Elizabeth.
However, we don’t want to call her Elizabeth, but we’d like to have a name with the nickname El/Elle, as that was grandma’s nickname.
Any suggestions? I’d rather not have the usual Ella/Eliza/Eloise, but I don’t mind. Thank you!
~ Taylor

I’m confused. Are you naming her Elizabeth after the grandmother, but want a unique nickname that includes the El sound? That’s how I interpreted it until I started reading the suggestions. I’m not sure I see how some these would be naming your daughter in honor of the grandmother as they are totally different names with only two letters in common. What am I missing??
