Cool vs. Cute vs. Corny

To give your boys comic book themed names? But I mean from a specific comic ex: Alfred, Robin, and Wayne (Batman) or Charles, Magnus, and Remy (Xmen) or even Clark, Kent, and Kal (Superman) Im expecting my firsts! Heavenly twin boys, and so far I really love the sound of Alfred and Robin the most for them, it makes my heart smile but I sort of like Charles and Magnus too. I actually got the idea here from another poll and I thought it would be strong and spunky. And I cant help but to think I would love to continue this theme with furture sons as well, if we’re blessed to have them. The hubby is all for it too. But what are your opinions? Im new to the baby making and naming buisness and ill take all the help I can get!! Alfred and Robin cute? Any comic suggestions? Let me know!

I think it’s cool - as long as you don’t make it too obvious. E.g. I wouldn’t have gotten Alfred, Robin and Wayne if you hadn’t told me (I’m more Marvel than DC) but I would have got Clark and Kent - that’s a bit tacky.

I prefer Charles and Magnus but I think that Magnus is a bit out there - if you’re ok with that then it’s fine but you could also go for other names.
Charles and Logan would be really cool.
Alfred and Robin would be my second choice.

I’d go more for a universe rather than a set comic, but that’s your choice.

Alfred and Robin is cute... People wouldn’t automatically associate that with the comic book, unless you told them. So that’s good! I think your boys would like it too. I don’t care for Charles and Magnus, because I don’t like the name Magnus. Robin and Wayne, Alfred and Wayne would be fine. Clark and Kent is a lot more recognizable though.

Does anyone think b/g twins when they hear Alfred and Robin? I know many on here dont like Robin on boys anymore. I really love Alfred and Robin and thats my only hang up now.
I still like Charles too and Logan is my best friend’s surname, thats cutting it too close but thanks! Any other xmen names to go with Charles?

I like Kent and Robin better. They sound better together and they both aren’t so OLD sounding!

Robin Wayne and Kent Charles?? WDYT?

Id like to keep the names from a "set comic" like a poster said above, I think when they’re the same "universe" they sound more like a duo yet the names still match each other’s feel, if that makes sense.
Maybe Robin and Wayne? Is Alfred really that old sounding? I didnt think it would stand out much from all the other vintage names? Am I wrong?

I love the idea...Just dislike Robin on a bo these days---VERY fem, and will create a name envy situation! Consider:

Mr. Fantastic=REED Richards
Spider-man=PETER Parker
Iron Man=TONY Starks
Phantom=KIT Walker
The Flash=BARRY Allen

I love Clark and Kent or Peter and Tony!!!

I think Robin is a unisex name, I wouldn’t worry about giving it to a boy.

Kit is actually a favorite name of mine ever since I seen it on a television show but from what ive seen here its the same issue with Robin, its unisex and too feminine. I dont happen to see either as fem at all, whats girly about Robin? The Rob part? Or the Bin? It shortens to Robbie and Rob, dont see any of that on a girl.
