Definitely boy. I don’t care how many girl are given boys names, they are still boys names.

It’s just one of those boys names that I personally feel is more feminine. Just like Ashley, Addison, or Riley. Plus my daughter just named our first granddaughter Avery Elizabeth. When I was in Jr. high, there was also a girl named Avery, so I guess upon my interactions, it’s always been girly to me.

Good luck!

I would assume boy, but I guess it could be a girl too.

I have only ever met girls with this name, so it is more of a girl name to me

I used to only see it as a boys’ name but it’s gotten so popular for girls that now I think girl when I hear it.

First I think of a bird house aviary, then a boy. Avery is a boys name its French for Alfred even means elf KING, why Americans use it on girls is beyond me it screams ignorance.

Boy for sure but it does remind me of birds.

I only think of a boy and agree with poster 1, some strange people may name their girls a boys name does not change that they are indeed boys names.
