Mikayla vs. McKayla vs. Michaela

I decided on the name Mikayla for my baby if I’m having a girl but can’t pick a spelling. I already chose Maxwell if I’m having a boy. I am leaning towards McKayla because it is less common. I also have 3 other kids named: Cooper (8), Gianna (5) and Bradley (3). Thank you! Laura, Daniel, Cooper, Gianna, Bradley and new baby

Your other children’s names are so grand. Are you set on Mikayla as a name. There is nothing uncommon about it. If you must use it, I’d use Michaela, it looks less trendy and made up and more like a real name. Sorry

The Macs are out. I would use Makayla, Mikayla or Michaela. My fave is Michaela.

I don’t really care whether the name fits in with my kids perfect y or if the name is "in" or "out" it only matters that I love the name and my husband loves it too. I asked for spelling advice and I got people saying that the name I chose is bad.
