Overwhelmed vs. Mom and Dad

Hey there everyone! We are completely overwhelmed with trying to find names for our twin boys and really need your help. What would you name twin boys? We haven’t decided on middle names, we know that they will be after important family members. Thank you! ~Stanley & Scarlett

We like Silas and Sebastian; though we wouldn’t use them together. We don’t want to start a theme since we plan on having more children in the future. We also aren’t fans of match-y names for twins

Personally, I would just use my favorite boy names. I wouldn’t worry about them starting with the same letter or having the same number of syllables or anything like that.

My 2 favorite boys’ names are: Joshua & William (nickname Liam) so I would use them :)

Here are some other suggestions:
Jacob, Joshua
Ethan, Evan
Jayden, Jordan
Daniel, David
Matthew, Michael
Landon, Logan
Elijah, Isaiah
Jacob, Joseph
Isaac, Isaiah
Caleb, Joshua
Andrew, Matthew

We aren’t worried about any of that; well sort of. We know we do not want a theme or anything of that sorts. Using our favorites is a problem for us since we can’t find any favorites! Our problem is that there are too many names when we look at sites and it stresses us out a little knowing how important names are.

We like Ethan, Evan, Landon, Noah, and Owen!

Here are my suggestions to the Original Poster:
1) Visit http://www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames/ and you can view the most popular names of 2012. You can view the top 10, 20, 50, 100, 500 or 1000.
2)Once you’ve found a few that you like you can visit nymbler.com At this site you can plug in your favorite baby names and it will give you suggestions based on what names you like.

Best of luck!

We’ve actually looked at the first site but it really overwhelms and stresses me (Scarlett) out because of the extensive length of the lists.

We like Owen and Sebastian! Though we are kind of thinking we’re going to stay away from S names since we don’t want to use match-y names and we wouldn’t want one of the boys to feel bad or left out for not having a name beginning with S.

Derived from your own names. Timeless & masculine. Names should have importance & should show they were chosen with care.

We like Theodore/Theo, Oliver, and Hugh! We also like Rory, Finley, and Henry but they end in the same sound as our last name

We don’t like Lee or Carl; Lee seems very plain and Carl not a name either of us would use

Why do themes turn you away so much? both of my children have names that end with y and are a bit uncommon. Having a theme might help with future children. Narrowing the list and making it less overwhelming! either way youll find the right ones GL! Oh and Noah and Ethan I like. Jonas and carter
posted by guest :: 11 years ago | report
Noah and Evan are 2 of my favorites from your list. I also like Ethan, Keegan, Liam, Isaiah. Good luck.

We like Evan, Eli, Lincoln, Miles!

We don’t like or want a theme for personal reasons that I don’t feel is necessary to put on the internet.

If I had twin boys I would either name them Graham and Collin or Levi and Jace
posted by guest :: 11 years ago | report
Evan and Levi would be my suggestion!
