Andrew vs. Elliot vs. Owen
Hello. My name is Hailey and I am married to Matt. We have 4 girls: Ava, Mackenzie, Isabella and Lily. Our 5th pregnancy was a huge shock (we were using protection), but we want to welcome our first little boy with open arms. I am very nervous to have him (induction tomorrow). Several family memebers along with friends have been telling us that he will be extremely girly. Not that I would have a problem, but it concerns me. He likely won’t have a brother, but would that make him feel left out? He has a daddy to do boy things with. Anyways, we have these three names we like. Vote and choose a middle name please.

I don’t know what they mean by girly, but he may not be all man for the first couple years. I am the oldest of 5 and have 4 younger brothers. Even when I outgrew Barbie dolls, I would get several requests to play Barbies with my younger brothers. The younger ones were only exposed to boyishness however, and they loved Star Wars & playing with trucks & cars. Don’t get me wrong, the boy right under me is as much of a man as anyone. He’ll just like the things he’s given, like any kid. If you put him in cub scouts (I don’t know if you’re a scout kind of family) as soon as he’s old enough, he’ll be with boys doing boyish things. Just love him with all your heart. About the names, I wouldn’t go for Elliot if you’re worried about girlishness. People are starting to name little girls Elliot and it probably wouldn’t help his manhood to have a little girl with the same name as him. Good luck! Eria

I am from a family of 5 girls and 1 boy. We used to dress him up in dresses (he was like a new baby doll) and put barettes in his hair. He played dolls with us and loved our baby buggy. At first, my dad was concerned but he let it go. He also liked his trucks and balls. He did not grow up feminine. He played football, baseball, and wrestled in school. He was a big jock. Don’t worry so much. I like Owen Matthew.

As a child he will probably like to do some have some girly interests, but as he gets older I can guarantee you that he will become a jock. I am a mother of 2 girls, Elena and Anna, and 1 boy, Beau. Beau is now 11 years old and as a kid, he liked playing Barbie and watching Dora the Explorer with Ellie and Annie, but now, at 11, he is on the community football, basketball, and soccer teams and in Boy Scouts. Don\’t worry!

Owen Elliot is lovely.
I grew up with 2 older brothers and I am very very girly. Their "manliness" did not turn me into a tomboy. I had no interest in their boy toys. So don’t stress about him being girly because of 4 older sisters!
