please read, advice needed for name Evelyn vs. !
My first name is Carolyn. All of my children have biblical names. Currently, we have Isaiah, Elijah, and Grace. I would like to know, since I already have a daughter that I didn’t name after myself in anyway, would it be ok to name the next daughter after myself? Or would that be weird? I was thinking Evelyn, because it would combine the biblical name Eve, and the ending of my name, Lyn. What do you think of this idea? If I use Evelyn at all, should I use it for first name, or middle name? Advice, please. Thank you!

I love the name Evelyn! If your name is just Lyn/Lynn, then I think that is really neat. What a great way to keep a part of yourself with her wherever she goes.

Evelyn is a lovely name, fits with her siblings too, and I don’t think it matters that it has the ’lyn’ ending. I also love the names Eve and Eva and would also consider using those. Here are some combos you may like:
Evelyn Rose
Evelyn Hope
Evelyn Rebekah(also a biblical name)
Evelyn Rachel (biblical name)
Evelyn Sarah
Evelyn MAy
Evelyn Claire/Clara
Eve Abigail - love this one!
Eve Madeleine

Grace and Evelyn do go well together, imo -- they have the same rather old-fashioned feeling to them. Or, I do like the suggestion of Eve to go with the one-syllable Grace. Eve Carolyn sounds pretty to me ... ;o)
