Baby Name Poll Results

Name for vs. our daughter
This time around we are having so much trouble picking out a name because.... IT’S A GIRL! For most people girl names come easier than boys, well not for us! With our boys the name came right away and we knew it was perfect! Now this time we have a short list of names that we can’t seem to narrow down! I will put the list in the first comment and it would be great if you could critique the names! Thanks so much, Gabe, Hayley, Russell (4) and Cruz (3)

Elodie is my favorite.
I also like Alison, Esme, & Scarlett (in that order)
Blythe is ok and I’m not a fan of Matilda or Blaire

Scarlett-great name, a touch of elegance to it, very feminine.
Elodie-I’m not a fan. Not even a little bit. It sounds like someone forgot the M on Melody.
Esme-Again, not a fan. To me it sounds like a skin condition.
Alison- Nice, good number of syllables. A name that works on a little girl and definitely on an adult, professional woman. Quite lovely, really.
Matilda-This one is puzzling to me. I’m not sure where the recent surge in Matilda’s popularity came from, but you can bet it’s a trend that will end. With a thud. Sorry, but this name is quite unattractive.
Blaire-The only way I’ve come to like this name is because of a very positive association I have with the name. One of my former students, redhead, short, big smile, smart, funny. So of course, I hear Blaire and I think of her.
Blythe-This name has recently grown on me. I think it works well as a middle name. It seems a bit too abrupt as a first name.
Alison Blythe
Scarlett Rae
