Baby vs. Girl Needs vs. Name!

Hey! So I posted a couple days ago about the name Cody for my daughter, and no one was a fan. She was born a few hours ago and is still lacking a first name. Her middle name is Amelia, surname is Daniels. Please suggest every type of name you can think of that will suit her. She has next to no hair but it will most likely be quite a light blonde, and bright blue eyes and long eyelashes. She is 20 inches long and weighs 6 pound 10 ounces. Thanks in advance! -Sophie, James and baby girl.

I like Avery but my husband doesn’t, thanks though.
We aren’t going to use Cody or Kody or any variations of it as it had a lot of negative comments.

You should go with your choice of Cody if you really like it. It’s your baby! But if not I suggest Camryn

We kind of like Madeline but aren’t fans of the nickname Maddie or the popularity of it.
Poster 17, we aren’t really fans of any of them. Frilly and girly names aren’t really our style. So far our list is:

Summer
Sadie
Rowan
Hadley

Thanks!

Use Cody if you like it! Who cares what other people think? It’s your baby, not theirs! If you’re too concerned because people probably said it’s a boys name, you could always do Dakota "Cody"! Dakota is unisex, but more popular on a girl currently. Boyish nicknames for girls are pretty cool, in my opinion and a bunch of people are doing it. (How many Samantha "Sam"s do you know [under 18]?)

I met a little girl named Cody a year ago, and she was adorable.

@Mercedes

Seriously, what’s up with you and Adam for a girl? On almost (if not, every) every poll that concerns a boys name on a girl you share that! I am so tired of seeing you telling how you’re going to/want to name your daughter Adam and suggesting it ALL THE TIME it’s making me sick. Let go!

My votes are either Peyton, Sadie, or Hadley (in that order). I think she sounds like a Peyton. Good luck!

Since your last name is Daniels, you could give her a name that starts with "Co" and call her Cody (Co-nickname for her first name-D-first letter of her last name). Does that make sense? For example, Colette Amelia Daniels--Co-D or Cody....just thinking outside the box here. Good luck! Or, if you aren’t stuck on Amelia, then giver her the initials COD and call her Cody. Carley Olivia would work. Good luck!
