First of all, I wouldn’t name my daughter Charley in any form. I might name her Charlene or Charlotte and let things take their course on a nn......in which case, Charlie might work. She will grow up to be an adult and what will she put on her business card? Charley???

I adore Charlie for a little girl! If you love the name that is ALL that matters. It’s so refreshing to hear after hearing Ava, Emma, etc. for so long! Ugh. Charlie (or Charli) is adorable I also love Charlsie! Don’t listen to any negative comments because theres always going to be someone putting you down! Charlie is gorgeous and will age so well so I say def. go for it! Good luck!

I would only use it as a nn for example Charlene or Charlotte. Besides that, I don;t think it goes well with your other childrens names.
I don’t think the above posters are trying to put you down. I think they are trying to give you another perspective. That’s the reason to come on a site like this to to see what others think of your selections. This gives you a better opportunity to look at your selections from another person’s point of view. Sometimes they even give you a chance to see the selections from your child’s possible point of view.
That said, I also feel that Charli or any variation should only be a nn for a more feminine name. And I also agree with Sylvana who pointed out that Charli or one of the other variations doesn’t really fit with the other lovely names you’ve picked for your other children.

take it from someone who grew up with a "cute" boy-ish nickname... give her a full name and call her charlie.
of course it’s your choice and you can do whatever you want... but you can still call her charlie if her name is charlotte

I dont like Charlotte, Charlize, anything like that. CHARLIE is my favorite. and I LOVE it on a girl. It’s pretty cute(:
And I personally think it will age with her. And I do think it’ll go well with you’re other children if she has a really girly middle name like Kate, Jane, Lynne, Maria, or Rose.
:]
Good Luck.

I have a friend named Charlotte, and her parents called her Charley since the day she was born. You could name her Charlotte but give her the nickname Charley.
