I’m pregnant with my first child, a girl. My boyfriend and I really like Lili (Lilly) Alexandrea (Alexandria). What do you think of the name and spelling?

I suggest find an adult whose name is misspelled and ask them how they feel about it. Most are going to tell you they hate it b/c they have to say no I spell it like this... Spelling a name wrong doesn’t make it unique. Lili is not unique it is just misspelled.

Lilli is an ok spelling. 2 L’s is better and it is a genuine alternative spelling.
Alexandrea is ok but a bit silly, as it’s her middle name you may as well spell it the original way.
It doesn’t make the name or your child any more unique, so make sure you’re not doing it for any reason other than liking the other spelling, otherwise it’s useless and annoying. Lili and Lilly will both turn when their name is called in the play ground, but Lili will never find things with her names on and often have to spell it out. If you just like the spelling Lilli/Lili then fine, but if it’s so she’s more ’unique’ then spelling it Lili is pointless and you’re better off just picking a more unique name.

Lilli Alexandria is lovely. Lilly Alexandria would also be lovely, but if you really want to change the spelling you can.

Lili wouldn’t be pronounced like "Lily," imo.

I agree with poster #2. Spellings don’t make a name "unique", it makes it misspelled. Lily or Alexandria are both beautiful names as they are.

Just use the correct spelling! It just makes you look dumb otherwise! Different spellings because of different languages are fine but otherwise just stick to the right way. If you want to be different choose a different name!

Lilla is more unusual pronounced Lil/la

I think Alexandria is beautiful but needs to be spelt correctly as its such a classic name....

Lilly Alexandria ( which is gorgeous)

Or choose something else and spell it right!

Hope you make the right choice!

You should name her Alessandra. It’s Italian, pretty, and definitely unique!
