Moses Jachai vs. Abiyram Eliezar

What do you think of the name Moses Jachai? It is a Jewish name and that is very important to my family but I want one that will fit well in today’s society. My grandmother, however; is very passionate about me naming my first son Abiyram Eliezar. I just don’t think it would work very well though since it is such a very unusual name. I will be raising my son alone and my grandmother, who raised me from the age of 3, is the most important person to me so I want her to be happy with my son and her grandson’s name. I think Moses Jachai is still a traditional Jewish name and she hasn’t said that she does not like it but he is still determined that he be called Abiyram. What should I do? Thank you, Devorah Schüler.

Emma in Western Australia
We have a boy named Tyler James and a girl named Gypsie Jade. Expecting our 3rd, which is a boy. I'm in love with the name Olly, but my partner thinks Gypsie and Olly are unique names and Tyler is not, so it won't feel right. So he wants an ordinary name. Please help with something unique but ordinary.
Baby Name Genie:
In the space between unique and ordinary is a special category of names I think of as "antiques." They are familiar and well-used names that are not widely in use these days. For your son, I give you Oscar Jude - a perfectly ordinary, unique name.
