Mackale Jae vs. Do you Like it??

My husband and I are expecting a little boy. We have decided to name him Mackale (Mah-C-Eh-L) Jae Robertson. We will reveal his name to friends and family after he is born because we are afraid they will talk us out of it.....but we LOVE it!! We are asking a BIG favoir from strangers, we want you to pretend that someone in your family was expecting a boy and they were going to name him Mackale Jae. What would you think of the name.......HONEST opinion please!!! We want to get an idea of how our family will react to the name to be prepared. Thanks so much.~ The Robertson Family

Honestly, I’m not sure I am pronouncing it the way you would want. I would say it Ma-kale or Mack-ale It is okay. I don’t like the spelling. And I don’t like the spelling of Jae.

Mackale wouldn’t ever be pronounced "Mah-cee-eh-elle". It would be pronounced "mah-kale". Jae is a Korean girls name.

Jason MacKale would be okay, if MacKale is a family name. If it isn’t, I’d scrap the entire name and start over. Perhaps Macauley Jason? GL!

Its Mah-Cale

If it prounced like Maceo (may-c-o) except the -eo is replaced with l, I agree with the 2nd poster-spelling is off. I would say it like Michael with a -kale at the end. I think a spelling is hard to find that it helps know how to pronounce. Also when Jae is spelled like that, the name looks completely mispelled (first and middle)

Honestly?!? It sounds like you’re fans of Michael J. Fox, but got drunk and ham fisted the keyboard while filling out the online birth registration.

I think it would forever be said incorrectly and the spelling of the middle name looks feminine
