they are both so short that they flow together so it sounds like you’re saying something really strange. Opaltrina.

Not much flow. Would Katrina work for you, or does it need to be just Trina? Opal Katrina sounds nice to me. Otherwise, I’d consider finding another first name.

Trina can’t be changed in any way at all. As asked/stated, if you don’t think it flows, we are open to other first names similar in style. This is the only name both of us love so if this doesn’t work, we are completely lost

Juliet and Violet are very pretty! Rosalie is as well but that "ee" sound clashes with the ending of our last name

Trina is really hard to pair.

Charlotte is pretty! Yes, we realize Trina is hard to pair with, and we also have a somewhat difficult last name to pair with too which makes the naming process extremely hard for us

What’s the last name?

Trina is pretty, why not use it as the first?
posted by guest :: 11 years ago | report
No Trina can’t be the first name; it must be the middle name and cannot be changed at all. Please keep the names the SAME style as Opal, we hate the super trendy/unisex names. Audrey is the only one we like but we can’t use it.

Also, we didn’t ask whether or not you thought Opal is pretty. If that is the only reason you gave suggestions, please keep them to yourself. We both love Opal but we will change it if people give us honest answers if Opal Trina flows or not

Because of privacy, I will not post our last name. It is very unique and I do not have a comfort level with posting it online.

Trina cannot be used as the first name as it is my mother-in-law’s name and I will only use family names as middle names.

Have you been on here before? I remember distinctly a couple who had very similar restrictions. Just wondering. I really like the combo Rosanne Trina. Thoughts?

- Ophelia Trina (much better than Opal, but still pretty close, flows better)

- Olivia Trina (you don’t like trendy names, but if you have a unique last name you may consider it, starts with an O)

- Phoebe Trina (kinda the same feel, has the FEE sound?)

- Lilith Trina (pronounced "lil-ith", defiantly different, nickname could be Lily)

- Delia Trina (Cute, same ending as Ophelia)

Like any?

I have, yes; I posted back in July? I believe it was July or so. We had thought we resolved on a name however that fell through so it’s been taking us a while to find something. Rosanne is a nice name and was once a middle name option for us but we can’t use it as a first name

Ophelia and Delia are really pretty, but as explained in a different comment, we don’t like the double "A" ending sound. The EE sound doesn’t flow with our last name so while Lily and Phoebe are nice, we can’t use them
posted by Poll Poster :: 11 years ago | report
So what can you use?
posted by guest :: 11 years ago | report
From the suggestions we can use Charlotte, Juliet and Violet. We can’t use names that end in A, end in the EE sound, and we do not want trendy/unisex names

There was this girl at my school named Octavia .. Ends with an a though

Lilah?
posted by guest :: 11 years ago | report
Lilah ends in A as well, well the A sound which doesn’t flow with Trina either. It is a very beautiful name but it doesn’t work for us
