help vs. please!
We want to honor my great-aunt Imogen with our daughter’s name. Aunt Idgie practically raised me, and she is one of the most interesting people I know. We really like the name Imogen, but we are thinking we should use it as our daughter’s middle name to avoid confusion with Aunt Idgie. But we can’t find another name that we like. We’re considering using other family names like Elizabeth or Catherine, but they aren’t really standing out to us. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks! ~Lily

I love Imogen and you could call her Imme sometimes too. Imogen Catherine is really pretty.

I would definitely use Imogen as a first name and call her Immy or Ginny. The different nicknames will avoid any confusion.

I would go ahead and use Imogen as the first name -- you can certainly give your new baby a different nickname. Everyone will know by context to whom you are referring.

For some reason Lila Imogen popped in my head when I read Imogen in your post. I think that is really pretty and Ginny would be a great nickname!
