Names vs. similar to vs. Carys

I love the name Carys, however our surname is Carriway, which would make the name sound ridiculous. Any ideas?

Maybe come up with a mn to go with it? Like Carys Grace. And call her by the 2 names? Love the name, it doesnt sound ridiculous on its own anyway imo!

Karissa/Carissa

Now do you love the name for the sound or is it because of the meaning?

I don’t think it sounds ridiculous! I think it sounds spunky. What do think about Carissa Carriway, nn "Caris"? I think the "-issa" puts a good distance between the similar sounds of Carys and Carriway, if that makes any sense at all. However, I think Carys Carriway sounds just fine the way it is! Very lovely. :-)

Carys is fine with your surname
but Seren is also pretty, as are Nia, Nerys and Sian/Siani
