I’ve posted on here before when me and my boyfriend decided on the name Kennedy Grace for our daughter due in December. However, we have gotten some criticism and negative comments due to the fact that many people believe "Kennedy" is a rough name for a girl. Me and my boyfriend don’t like overpopular or sickly sweet girl names and seem to have a taste for names that originated as surnames. Do you think that we are doing our daughter a disservice, as some people claim, by naming her Kennedy?

I love Kennedy. Of course you will get criticism. You will get criticism on any name you choose simply because not everyone likes the same names. Just name her what you want to. As long as you love it then it doesn’t matter what others think. It’s not a rough name for a girl, especially because you’re using a pure feminine name for her middle name. I encourage you to name your daughter Kennedy Grace. I’m sure she’ll be pleased.

I personally believe that Kennedy is an adorable name for a girl. It is modern yet not too trendy or over popular. I also love that you used a beautiful, feminine middle name to balance out the unisex Kennedy. Don\\\’t let someone else\\\’s opinion discourage you from making the decision that pleases you best.

I named my daughter Kennedy Michelle and I absolutely love her name. She is 9 years old and since I’ve named her til now I’ve only met like 2 other Kennedy’s. I love her name because it’s a strong and unique name. I’d say name her Kennedy Grace its a beautiful name. No one is every going to fully love a name you choose, someone always has their opinions on a name. If you and your boyfriend are good with the name then go for it! Good luck!

Yes it is imo and Middle names make no difference whatsoever as you never use them in life its not like you will be calling her by both names all the time

All these anti-unisex name people drive me crazy! Kennedy is one of my favorite names for a little girl. We would name our daughter that except cousin miscarried a few months ago and was going to name her Kennedy, so I would feel awful using it! Love it..go for it!!
