Please Read vs. and vs. Give opinions

We are expecting our first child and would really appreciate help with his name. We have a list of names but we want outside opinions on them. Our list: Connor, Wyatt, Ryan, Wylie, Zane, Wesley, Duane (my husbands mn), Weston, Abel, Hayes, Greyson, Aaron, Lee, Jackson, Mason, Evan, Elliott, Justin, Jesse, Rylie, Emerson, Emery, Cody and Colton. If it is possible, can you please provide your opinions on all of the names, not just your favorite or least favorite. Thank you in advance, Tammy

These are really nice:

Connor, Wyatt, Ryan,Zane,Weston, Greyson, Evan, Elliott, Justin, Jesse, Emerson, Emery

Jackson and Mason are really popular. If you really love one of them, there’s nothing wrong with them. But I’d nix them because they are incredibly popular.

My vote from all of them would go to Emerson Duane or Weston Duane.

Connor - Its fine. I have a particularly violent cousin with this name so I think of him. But its still a good name
Wyatt - I like it.
Ryan - A little dated IMO but I guess its fine. A nice strong name
Wylie - Not a fan. Reminds me of a cartoon character. Not really something you want to think of when you meet a person.
Zane - NMS but cool.
Wesley - Its okay. I
Duane - NMS but if it has meaning to you then thats all thats important
Weston - cute
Abel - love it!
Hayes - interesting. It could grow on me.
Greyson - love it, but prefer it spelled Grayson.
Aaron - A nice, strong, biblical name.
Lee - My brothers name, so I’m biased. I think this makes for a great middle name too.
Jackson - A little tired of hearing this name. Way overused
Mason - cute but very popular
Evan - Love it!
Elliott - Love! So cute.
Justin - a little dated.
Jesse - cool
Rylie - I only like it if it spelled the traditional way: Riley or Reilly.
Emerson - NMS but nice
Emery - NMS
Cody - a little dated
Colton - very cute

Connor, Wesley, and Abel are definitely my favorites. I like to try to avoid the overly popular names. These names aren’t too common and have a classic sound.

Connor - I like it but it’s too popular
Wyatt - LOVE this name
Ryan - Seems like a better middle name than first
Wylie - Reminds me of Wylie Coyote..not a fan
Zane - I’ve never liked this name..sometimes it’s hard to get over a name when you associate it with a specific person so this is really just probably me personally
Wesley - really like this name but not as much as Weston which is really similar
Duane - Although it’s your husbands middle name, I’m not a fan :/ Sorry
Weston - my favorite!! LOVE this name so much
Abel - It’s would probably grow on me, especially since it isn’t as popular as most of the others
Hayes - I really like this name but it may be better for a middle name
Greyson - I really like this name..not as much as Weston, Wesley, or Wyatt for example
Aaron - Don’t hate it, but definitely do not love it. I lean towards the dislike..nothing special to me
Lee - definite middle name to me..I don’t think it’s strong enough to hold it’s own as a first name
Jackson - I love Jackson..but it’s so popular (maybe Jaxon to make it a little more unique) but I really do love this name either way
Mason - Again, super popular but for a’s a super, super cute name. Love it
Evan - I ADORE this name so second favorite on this list!
Elliott - I like it..but it’s hard for me because I know a little girl named Elliot so I associate it with a girls name. However, it’s still cute either way for either gender
Justin - I’ve never liked this name either. I think it’s too bland
Jesse - Same as above..I think it’s bland
Rylie - I would suggest spelling it Riley. Spelling it Rylie looks like the girl spelling. If you spelling it Riley I would love it so much more!
Emerson - I prefer it on a girl..but I still like it on a boy
Emery - I prefer it on a girl, except I still don’t like it on a boy. I feel Emerson definitely is unisex (the ending of ’son’ proves it to be a suitable boy name) however, Emery to me is 100% girl
Cody - it’s ok
Colton - bland to me
