I most definitely would not do it. I don’t care for the name Ryla and it is way too close to Ryan if you name a boy that.

well i don’t like ryla or rylee or anything similar. i definitely think its too close to ryan especially because they both shorten to ry. what about naming him after you? or choosing a name like raine/a? i think ryla is trendy in the first place though.

I think that Ryan & Ryla would be cute. The suggestions for Rylee or Rainey are good choices too.

Ryla is too contrived for my tastes. It’s uncommon, but it sounds like so many popular names - Riley, Kyla, etc.

If you’d name a son Ryan, I definitely wouldn’t use it. A family of Ryan, Raina, Ryla, and Ryan Jr. would be very confusing and honestly seems a bit egotistical. Surely there are other people who you could name your children after besides your husband.

How about Rhiannon? It’s kind of similar in sound to Ryan. I still think it would be too much with a son named Ryan also though. Rachel, Rebecca, Ramona, Rose, Renee, Renata, Ruby, Roxanne, Rosemary/Rosemarie, or Rosalind would be nice if you want an R name.

I named my daughter Ryla. It's a great name. Very nice to say. I also challenge you to come up with a rhyming word that might be used for teasing her. Yay for Ryla!
