Too vs. Many vs. Names

I posted a version of this the other day and got several mixed opinions-- all of which were helpful, but I am really looking for a majority in agreement. I will post girl names and boy names in the first comments, and I really need opinions on favorite and least favorite names and why! Thank y’all so so much!

GIRLS:
1. Lorraine Kirkpatrick
2. Laurel Hanna
3. Evelyn Roselle
4. Meryl or Merrill
5. Annabeth Marion
6. Frances Ann
7. Claudia Grier
9. Mary Brent (double name)

Many of these are family names, so that’s why some may seem a tad different.

Laurel Hanna and Evelyn Roselle are by far the best. I very much dislike Claudia Grier, Frances Ann, Lorraine Kirkpatrick and Mary Brent. I am okay with Annabeth and I think Maryl is really cool, but the others are very strange and sound not attractive and too old.

Also, for both sets of names feel free to mix and match based on what sounds best.

Frances and Annabeth would be most favorite.

Claudia is my least favorite.

I love Laurel Hanna. It just flows well. Also like Evelyn Roselle (though I prefer Evelyn Rose).

I don’t like Lorraine Kirkpatrick (not a fan of last names as middle names), or Mary Brent (not a fan of boys names on girls) or Frances Ann (don’t like the rhyminess of it)

Favorite: Annabeth Marion. I think Annabeth is a sweet name, different without being too different and has a few solid nickname options if she wants them. While Marion is ams it flows well with Annabeth and has a vintage quality I can appreaciate.

Least Favorite: Meryl/Merrill. Merrill was my great great grandfathers name so I associate it with an older man. I just don’t like the sound of it and I don’t think she’d like it either.

I love Griffin Hayes and Grady Charles. Britton sounds like a girls name. Don’t like Hayes as a first name. Jonathon is boring. Callahan is OK- like the nn possibility of Cal.

Annabeth and Griffin are my favorites followed by Laurel Evelyn or Laurel Hanna and Grady.

Favorite: Griffin Hayes. I really like Griffin. I think its a strong name with some lovely ties to literature and mythology. I think Hayes makes for an interesting middle name.

Least Favorite: Britton Marshall. I’m not a fan of place names and while Britton is not spelled like the country but it sounds like it and people will automatically tie him to the country. I’ve seem Britton used of girls too and I’m just not a fan of unisex names for either sex.

Agree with poster 6! As she stated so eloquently it is dainty yet powerful in sound. It is beautiful with many nickname options to choose from when her personality starts to shine :) Marion is the ultimate true Lady name and it brings an extra sense of class and beauty.

Least: Frances Ann, Francesca-yes, Frances -definitely not. It sounds to masculine and I only think of a male.

Favorite- Callaghan Turner! It is so handsome and unforgettable!

Least favorites are Callahan and Hayes as first names, Meryl/Merrill, Frances, and Mary Brent.
