Spellings and Middle names vs. For vs. Haley?

We’re naming our daughter Haley, but aren’t sure which spelling to go with. We’re considering Haley, Hailey, Hailee and Hailie. My favorite is Hailee, but my husband thinks it would be an issue to spell. I think that because Haley is a name that can be spelled so many ways, people are going to ask anyway. Which spelling would you choose? What middle name would go with Haley?

I would go with the most common spelling of Haley in the U.S right now, which is Hailey. Its just not worth the trouble having to correct people’s spelling of it all the time. I think people are most likely to get it right spelled Hailey.

If I had to write down her name, I would automatically write Hailey. Hailey Jessica, Hailey Elizabeth, Hailey Victoria, Hailey Rebecca, Hailey Danielle, Hailey Deanne, Hailey Renee, Hailey Lauren, Hailey Olivia, Hailey Isabella or Hailey Corinne.

I think you are right that the name will be misspelled constantly anyway simply because there are so very many spellings. May as well go with the one you like best.

Hailey is the most popular spelling! We named our daughter this and loved the name, but had no idea which spelling to use so we started looking in gift shops lol at the keychains and stuff and Hailey it was!

I’ve always thought Hailey looked the prettiest. But you’re right. Haley is one of those names that can be spelled a million different ways, so you might as well go with what you like because it’ll never be spelled correctly.
