Our Favorites vs. Don’t Work

Hey! We love the names Matilda and Francesca but they do not flow with the middle name we have picked, Deborah. What names do you think flow with it? We do not want to reuse a letter from the names of our children; Henry, Liam, Oliver, and Dahlia. Thanks for your time!

Deborah is not changing, we are only open to first name suggestions.

Sorry! I was only trying to combine the names you say you love. Jeez.

Not sure why the "jeez" was called for considering we only said we are not changing Deborah meaning we are looking only for first names. We have agreed that we know Matilda and Francesca are no longer options for us and we put them in the poll to give an idea of what type of names we like

Your response to a simple suggestion seemed short and aggressive for no reason. People here are only trying to help you.
posted by guest :: 2013-12-29 13:38:13 | report
We were giving a response! Just because it was short and to the point does not automatically make it aggressive. We have only been given one suggestion anyway, which we can’t use, so sorry but it doesn’t seem like people are trying to help all that much. If other suggestions were given it would be completely different.

Deborah is a terrible middle name. You would need a very short first name.

Mya Deborah
Ivy Deboray
Remy Deborah
Josie Deborah

.. ugh they all sounds awkward to me.
I really don’t like Deborah as a middle name. Gl anyways.

I agree with the poster above. If you wanna use Deborah as a middle name you should deff use a short first name. :) - Isabella

We really don’t need the rudeness about liking or disliking Deborah. It is after my mother who is no longer with us. We like the name Ivy but we aren’t able to use it due to a friend who named their daughter Ivy

Well aren’t you quite the ma[removed]aybe people would help you if you weren’t so RUDE!!
posted by guest :: 2013-12-29 13:45:28 | report
Then please give suggestions, Isabella because that is why we are here. We haven’t found any names we love that flow with Deborah at all

We weren’t being rude! Goodness! We were stating something simple that happened to be a short statement! Either give suggestions or move on from the poll, this is not helpful at all.

We like Felicity! Isabella, you suggested some nice names but you must have either skipped over or did not read that we do not want to reuse the letters of our children, so although we like Lucy we won’t be using it
posted by guest: Poll Poster :: 2013-12-29 13:51:22 | report
We like Violet and briefly thought about it but we’re not sure if we’re completely sold on it since we aren’t thrilled about having another flower name

We like Emmeline and Genevieve but they always get shortened to nicknames which we don’t like

You don’t have to shorten them. Surely you dictate whether there’s a nickname or not? Well for the first 5 years or so...
posted by guest :: 2013-12-29 13:57:37 | report
We like Audrey! Please read all of the poll before you comment, we do not want repeats of letters!
posted by guest: Poll Poster :: 2013-12-29 13:57:41 | report
I think you should avoid names with -ah sounds on the end.
posted by guest :: 2013-12-29 13:58:37 | report
You are so rude, I am done helping you.

You should be thankful that people are trying to help you. WHO CARES IF WE SUGGEST THE SAME LETTERS. Just ignore the names then!
posted by guest: Cassie :: 2013-12-29 13:59:28 | report
Not exactly, people where we live have a bad habit of disregarding people when they say they want to be called something and just choose what they want to call the person. It really happens with nicknames when the first name is long, like Emmeline or Genevieve
posted by guest: Poll Poster :: 2013-12-29 13:59:54 | report
Moving on to the next Poll, because you aren’t even thankful for any suggestions. - Isabella
posted by guest :: 2013-12-29 14:00:05 | report
Ha it’s not only me (poster 1) that thinks you’re rude. Take a hint love!
posted by guest :: 2013-12-29 14:00:41 | report
We agree we want to avoid names ending in the same sound, please leave some suggestions!

Cassie it is equally rude to disregard something that had been specifically said that we do not want and will not use! Rudeness along with respect goes both ways.
posted by guest: Poll Poster :: 2013-12-29 14:01:18 | report
Rude rude rude!
posted by guest :: 2013-12-29 14:02:03 | report
If people would just respect the fact that we have certain things we are looking for or can not use we wouldn’t seem so rude. The rudeness goes both ways.
posted by guest: Poll Poster :: 2013-12-29 14:02:57 | report
Really? You are calling me rude just because I forgot about your stupid letters that you didn’t want to use again. Grow up. If you don’t want any help from others, or can’t even say "Thank You" then help yourself out, because no one wants to help you.
posted by guest: Cassie :: 2013-12-29 14:03:46 | report
We don’t even know you so how should we know what you are looking for? We gave you suggestions, and there are a couple of women that tried to help you out but I haven’t see you thank us once? The only one rude here is you. - Isabella
posted by guest :: 2013-12-29 14:05:17 | report
Nova Deborah was the first name that came to mind. What do you think?
posted by guest :: 2013-12-29 14:06:14 | report
What is wrong with people on this site? This is a place for people to get suggestions which is what we were trying to do! We do appreciate the ideas but we don’t appreciate the fact that people have Ben snarky from the start and have disregarded something that was very simply that we stated, from the start, that we didn’t want and wouldn’t use.
posted by guest: Poll Poster :: 2013-12-29 14:06:16 | report
No. In your poll you didn’t say Deborah couldn’t be shortened or that Francesca was totally out, someone tried to make a suggestion to give you the name you love and you we’re rude. As of then you’ve been consistently rude to others. Nobody is disrespecting you, they are only trying to help. You are a rude and aggressive woman. It’s not only one person that has said it!
posted by guest :: 2013-12-29 14:06:38 | report
We wouldn’t be able to use Nova because we have a niece named Nora which is a little too close
posted by guest: Poll Poster :: 2013-12-29 14:07:35 | report
Yes and then we have a response to the suggestion which was that we cannot change Deborah! That is not rude to say we are not changing something that has a lot of meaning to us!
posted by guest: Poll Poster :: 2013-12-29 14:09:16 | report
I don’t care to help you anymore.

BYE!
