Annabella vs. Arabella vs. Isabella

Hi I’m Karyn. My husband John and I have both always had a thing for girl names ending in bella. We think they’re girly and pretty and they have the nickname options Ella or Bella. The three names above are our favorites, but we’re open to suggestions. We also have no ideas for middle names so we need suggestions for that too. Excited big brother to be is Liam Blake (7). Thanks for your help!

I don’t like Isabella. Never have. And now even less because I hear it SO much. I would pick Annabella over Arabella because I think it will work better for an adult and it sounds better with Liam.

I like Annabella best of the three. Isabella is just too overdone and I’ve never been crazy about Arabella.

You might also like Bellamy... I love that name, it’s not very common, and she can go by Bella as a nickname. There’s also Stella, Mariella, Ariella, Luella, Aubriella, for options without the b.

Would you consider one of these ending in -belle instead of -bella? I feel like that ending sounds better with Palmer. You could still use Bella as a nickname.

Be that as it may, I prefer either Annabella/Annabel(le) or Arabella to Isabella. Similar names I like are Mirabel and Christabel.
