Does this vs. Work?

Helena (pronounced Hel-lane-uh) after both of her grandmothers Helen and Elaine. Does that work? Any other suggestions for combining those 2 names? Middle name will be Belle.

I disagree with the second poster, I think the pronunciation you are going for is more common, at least where I live (near Wash. DC)

Yes, i love it! :) What do you think of Helena Isabelle?

Heléna definitely works and if you spell it like this it should (if pronounced correctly) be said how you would like it to be pronounced because the é is pronounced ’ay’ not ’eh’.
Yes I think that works very well for combining Helen and Elaine and Belle is very pretty.

Some more suggestions would be:

Ellen
Helene
Hailey
Lena
Léna
Héloise
Hallie
Heidi

I’d drop Belle and name her:
Helen Elaine
Helena Elaine
Elaine Helen
Elaine Helena
or some other combination. Belle has just lost all appeal since Belle/Bella/Isabelle/Isabella/Annabelle etc names were so big a few years ago. It just feels tired and dated. If you love the name wait to use it on your next child, when the name will feel more fresh. Personally, I LOVE Helen, and Elaine is uncommon too.

Helena looks like you’re only honoring the one grandmother. Maybe Helaina would be more equal, AND get pronounced the way you’d like it.
