My friend named her daughter Ryann. At first I thought it was pronounced Ry Ann but now I know and its beautiful! :)

I mean no disrespect but she will have to deal with rude comments throughout childhood. Ryann would be pronounced Ry ANN

Part of the advantage of a site like this is that people will tell you what they really think. They usually won’t do this in real life unless they really like the name. If they don’t like it they won’t say, "Oh, that’s horrible! Why would you give a name like that to such a pretty little girl?" They’ll stare in surprise and then say, "Oh." Or, "Wow, she’s really cute." Or a dozen other things. Part of the reason behind coming to a place like this is so you have an idea of what they’re thinking and what they’ll say to their friends later.

What you name her is up to you, but you should know what people will be thinking.

Rhyanne gives it a more feminine look while keeping true to the pronunciation.

I would say choose Ryan! I know some people might say it doesn’t look feminine, but Ryann I feel would be mispronounced as "rye-anne" all the time.

I really dislike Rhyanne. It looks made up to me. I think I will go with Ryan, thanks guys! I was leaning towards it anyways but people kept saying I should change the spelling so I used the one I could tolerate the most which was Ryann. But I think I’ll use Ryan. Thank you for not just using this comment space to tell me how horrible Ryan is on a girl like someone did last time I posted.
