Need an ’h’ name vs. And an ’I’ name vs. Read below!

Hello there! It is Liz and may. We are sister in laws and are so close that we have a theme for our children’s names. Here is the order of our children, I will put a ’m’ if they are mays, and an ’l’ if they are mine. Asher(l), Bailey(m), Carly(ll), Dixon(m), Evelyn(evie, l) Now she is pregnant with her third and I am pregnant with my fifth. They are both girls, she is due on April 15th, and i am due on April 17th. She will need an ’h’ name and I will need an ’I’ name, and yes we know we are skipping ’g’, we are doing that because our last name is Gates. Thank you!

Genie's Mailbag

Emma in Western Australia
We have a boy named Tyler James and a girl named Gypsie Jade. Expecting our 3rd, which is a boy. I'm in love with the name Olly, but my partner thinks Gypsie and Olly are unique names and Tyler is not, so it won't feel right. So he wants an ordinary name. Please help with something unique but ordinary.
Baby Name Genie:
In the space between unique and ordinary is a special category of names I think of as "antiques." They are familiar and well-used names that are not widely in use these days. For your son, I give you Oscar Jude - a perfectly ordinary, unique name.
