Violet’s vs. Brother!

Hello! Our daughter, Violet, is getting a little brother and we’re hoping you can help us with his name. We want something that compliments well with Violet, but nothing starting with a V (or C/K because of our last name). Any suggestions? We don’t want a name that gets shortened to a nickname (i.e. Theodore, Samuel, Thomas, Benjamin, etc.) and we are only looking for first names. Thank you!

Some of these can be shortened, but I think it’s about a 50/50 split between nicknames and full names (ie David vs. Dave) I also think more children are going by their full names instead of nicknames (James instead of Jim, Andrew instead of Andy, etc) Good luck!

Miles is actually one of my favorites, currently. I, surprisingly, don’t mind the long I sounds; actually I am leaning away from Leo because it doesn’t fully sound right with our last name to me

I’m not sure Sebastian will get shortened to anything. My name’s Jessica and despite there being nicknames for my name no one has ever shortened it in my presence, so if there is any shortenings to Sebastian (I’m not sure there are) it will depend on the person he interacts with, but I think it will be fine and most people will just call him by Sebastian unless they find something else.

Nicknames for Sebastian are Seb and Bash that I can think of

Theo seems incomplete as a first name to us. We really hate the sounds of "Seb" and "Bash" so hopefully if we use Sebastian, we can avoid those
