Total stereotypical dogs name. Presumably because it sounds like Fetch. I’ve only ever heard it for dogs.

What makes you think of it as a "loser" name? I respect how poster 1 said it sounded like "fetch" so it sounded like dog name, but why a loser name? Also thank you poster 2.

Poster 3 here - It’s like a combo of flatulence and belcher. It’s flaccid and wretched at the same time. There is not a single winning thought that comes to mind at the sound of that name. Sorry.

I know a couple of children called Fletcher and Fletch for short. I guess if there was a dog close by it may mishear you saying ’fetch’ instead of Fletch, but I have never heard of a dog with this name
