Brooks Carter or Macsen Taylor for sure. Mackenzie and Peyton are great names but not for a boy.

May I ask what is wrong with Peyton and Mackenzie for a boy? ~Poster

Answering your question Mackenzie is too feminine to me for a boy and I just don’t like Peyton for a boy at all don’t know why but I just dont. I love it for a girl those.

I personally prefer Peyton as a boy’s name, but Mackenzie sounds a lil sweet and girly. I voted for Brooks because I feel it’s more masculine and classic.

Okay thanks for the reasons, it helps to know what others will think but more helpful to know why. ~Poster

I have a son named Mackenzie and he went through a hard time with bullying because of his name.
All the boys would say he has a girl name. He is in highschool now and goes by Mack and the bullying has stopped.

Thank you for sharing your experience, if you don’t mind me asking, do you regret naming him Mackenzie or not at all? Sorry if it is too personal. ~Poster

Definitely boy names, all of them.
All are very handsome, a hard choice!
I’ve warmed up to Peyton Brooks, I really like it. Mackenzie is the one that bothers me, how I like it but the whole turned girl name affair. Macsen is a nice alternative. I’m not too fond of Mac, though, so I’d prefer Peyton or Brooks.

My older brothers name is Mackenzie and he absolutely hated it. He got teased a lot in school and no one took him seriously because he has a girl’s name. He is now 24 and has legally changed his name to Maks but spells it Macs.

I absolutely love Brooks Carter it sounds so masculine

Thank you again for the experience with the name Mackenzie, we are starting to feel really concerned about it. If that was his name he probably would have gone by Mack or Kenny a lot but he would still be called Mackenzie. Thanks guys! ~Poster

I would certainly take the negativity with a pinch of salt. I have known several MacKenzie’s who are boys and none have had any problems.

In USA there could be girls with whatever you name him and if you are not USA its mostly a boys in your area. I believe its only really America that ruins their boys names.

Well we don’t live in America per say but thanks. ~Poster

In that case this poll is probably not going to be helpful. Really only America considers it feminine.

But we live next door, we are from Canada so will that effect it any? ~Poster

I have lived in Canada my whole life and Mackenzie is a girl name to me its not just people from the U.S. that think its a girls name it all of north america. So please don’t name your son Mackenzie, its a girls name now even if I didnt start out as one. Brooks Carter is so adorable and manly

Thank you, I have met both boys and girls with the name Mackenzie, more girls but enough boys. It isn’t really our favourite but thanks. ~Poster
