Melanie Suzanne vs. Yes vs. No

Suzanne must stay since it’s a family name. But should we stay with Melanie. I love it but I’m worried I won’t after she’s born since we’d only looked at a few names before deciding on Melanie. So if you don’t like Melanie suggest names. Should we name her Melanie Suzanne? Thanks! ~Carolyn

It is a bit long to me, but I personally really like it! If you settled on a compromise name, don’t settle and keep looking for a name you both love. If you both love it, no one can stop you from using it.

Kendall, Stella, and Lacey are nice too! At one point we talked about Lacey and Kendall but sister is planning on naming her daughter Kennedy and we think Kennedy and Kendall are a little too close and my husband thinks Lacey is a little too frilly. I’ll suggest Stella to him though:) thanks! ~Carolyn

I think Melanie is adorable and rarely used. It is a pretty name that fits any little girl. Nicknames are many if you want one.

Brooke isn’t "too plain!" It is lovely with many dynamics and a sweet sound. It’s not even in the top 100 names for girls anymore and it is just lovely. A brook is a serene, small river. What a lovely name to have!
