Name Help vs. Read Below
We’re expecting twin girls. We love the names Macy and Lucy but we think they sound a little more like nicknames instead of full names. We are most likely going to use Lucille but we need help finding a full name for Macy. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Charlene

Macy and Lucy are full names all on their own however Lucille is lovely. Macy itself doesn’t really have any names that it’s a nickname for formally that I know of but looking at sites some have mentioned that it’s a possibility or they know girls who have gone by Macy that have the name since nn’s don’t always end up sounding like the name they’re from:
Marceline
Marissa
Macelyn
Meredith
Margaret (Maisie is a nn for that and is similar to Macy so it could work well)
Melissa
Madison

Macy would DEFINITELY be better as a nickname, but Lucy can stand alone, though Lucille is also nice.
There aren’t really any names Macy can be a nickname for, but here are some stretch ones that maybe you’ll like?
Marceline
Marcella
Maris
Marissa
Melissa
According to a few sites, too, you can use pretty much any M name seeing as some nicknames don’t make sense (Sara -> Sadie, Jonathan -> Jack, etc)

I prefer just Macy and Lucy on their own, and there aren’t really any longer versions of Macy. Marcella comes close but really Marcy makes more sense as a nn for it. Lucille is fine though.

I honestly don’t know of any names Macy could be short for.
