I don’t really like any of these, sorry. If I had to choose the best combo it would be Mia Rose.

Get rid of Mason. Some of these can work for a girl, but definitely not Mason. Or Carter.

Eliminate Dylan. Love Riley Kate!

Get rid of Riley Kate. No matte how much you try to girl-ify this name, it’s still a boys name.

I think Mia Rose is lovely! Both as a first-middle combo and as a double first name.

Do you have an updated list?

Eliminate Carter and Tatum. I like Mia Rose. I’m guessing that Rose is the middle name so I’m not going to suggest any others.

Eliminate Addison

Eliminate Baylor. Keep Mia Rose.

If my calculations are correct, the two remaining are Taylor and Mia Rose. So I will eliminate Taylor because Mia Rose sounds like it will suit both a child and an adult. Plus, Mia is both girly and athletic (think Mia Hamm). Good choice!

I don’t like Mia rose at all! But I love Taylor and Baylor! What about Taylor Elizabeth or Baylor Katherine! I also love Tatum! What about Tatum Mckenzie! Good luck!

Sorry, while I was updating a couple other comments were posted, New updated list:
Mia Rose
Logan Danielle (My husband just suggested this one)

Emerson, Riley Kate and Baylor were all eliminated a while ago.

Reading the original list, it actually sounds like you’re naming a boy and the name Mia Rose got put on there by accident. While I don’t think most of the remaining names sound good on a girl either, I’d eliminate Emerson because of the obvious -son on the end...and you’re not having a son.

Eliminate Mia rose! Love Riley Kate! Good luck!

Not Logan. It goes with Carter and Tatum and Dylan in being WAY too boyish for a girl (and especially a grown woman) to pull off.

Just go with Mia Rose.

We really want a unisex name, and the only name that didn’t get eliminated was Taylor. What middle names do you think go well with Taylor? Thanks!
posted by guest :: 2014-03-23 14:28:22 | report
Taylor was eliminated several comments back.

But if you’re going with it Taylor Hannah or Taylor Macy.

They only thought two names were remaining, but there were more than that and multiple people eliminated Mia Rose. We really want a more unisex/masculine name for our little girls first name, any other ideas? Why don’t y’all like any of these?

I don’t like any of them because I only briefly glanced at the poll title before reading the list and until I saw Kate, Mia and Rose, I thought it was for a boy. I was going to vote for Hayden. Moments like that are exactly why I don’t like these names for a girl. No matter how cute they sound when she’s a baby, she’s the one who will have to live all her life constantly being thought a boy and having to correct people, being called "girl Taylor". Even if you want to be "gender progressive" or whatever, she’ll still have to live through all of the above, just so you can make a statement, and I don’t think that’s fair.

I think a name like Mia, which is kind of spunky, can suit both a girly girl and tomboy. Perhaps something like Erin would work. It’s distinctly female so she won’t have the aforementioned problems, but it’s boyish. There’s also the spelling Aaren, which is ..Welsh, I believe(?)..that can look more unisex without actually causing her all those problems.

Anyway, rant over.

There was only two left. Emerson, Riley Kate and Baylor had all been eliminated a while before you posted your updated list. Personally I think that Mia Rose is the only name from your list that sounds appealing on a girl, I think you can find a strong, modern girl name without resorting to using a boy’s name, but she’s your daughter name her whatever you want. If you do go with one of the other names on the list I would go with a feminine middle name to even it out. For example Taylor Eloise. GL
