Keep It vs. Change It

Hi i’m Cora. Here’s my situation right now. Me and my now ex-husband are going through a divorce as of now. I am currently seven months gone with a little boy. Me and my ex-husband already have two daughters Bryony (9) and Isabelle (6) who he has made no effort to see and he has made clear he wants nothing to do with our unborn son (he must be too concerned over his new family!). We have always agreed to called our first son Owen Thomas, however I feel using that name would maybe be clinging onto the past. Should I still call my son the name we both agreed on, or change it to a name that has no connection to the family we nearly had? Cora

Emma in Western Australia
We have a boy named Tyler James and a girl named Gypsie Jade. Expecting our 3rd, which is a boy. I'm in love with the name Olly, but my partner thinks Gypsie and Olly are unique names and Tyler is not, so it won't feel right. So he wants an ordinary name. Please help with something unique but ordinary.
Baby Name Genie:
In the space between unique and ordinary is a special category of names I think of as "antiques." They are familiar and well-used names that are not widely in use these days. For your son, I give you Oscar Jude - a perfectly ordinary, unique name.
